Michael Eggerbauer (born February 18, 1960 in Füssen ) is a former German ice hockey player . He played defender in the ice hockey Bundesliga .

career

Eggerbauer comes from an ice hockey enthusiastic family and began his professional career in 1979 at EV Füssen in the ice hockey Bundesliga. After three years in Füssen, the defender moved to Mannheim to the Mannheim ERC, which was trained by Ladislav Olejnik . There he played mostly with Harold Kreis in a defender row. Eggerbauer played 273 times for the team from Mannheim and scored 17 goals. In his seven years in Mannheim he was German ice hockey runner-up four times - in 1982, 1983, 1985 and 1987. In 1988 Eggerbauer left Mannheim and joined the Prussians in Berlin for two years , then switched to the Krefeld EV via Eintracht Frankfurt . He played for a year at both clubs. After a final year in the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga with his home club in Füssen, he ended his career in 1996. Eggerbauer works today as a real estate agent in Füssen.
