Michael Fajgel

Michael Fajgel (* 1958 in Hanover ) is a German singer , actor , librettist and theater director.

Life

After training as a musical performer and actor, Fajgel began to write his own pieces and, in addition to his engagements, to work with independent theater groups. Fajgel was among others at the Kassel State Theater , Theater Münster , City Theater Lübeck , Stadttheater Hildesheim , City Theater Gera and St. Gallen City Theater busy.

From 1972 to 1984 Fajgel was the singer in the band Aqua. Aqua celebrated its greatest successes at the end of the 1970s with Martin Ulrich (guitar) Michael (Mike) Fajgel (vocals), Jörg Wiesner (keyboard instruments), Wolfgang Eckhardt (bass) and Roy Kaleve (drums). For a while Matthias Reim (“Damn, I love you”) was one of them.

Fajgel has worked as a director, writer and actor since 1986. He has played in musicals such as Grease , Hair , Tommy , West Side Story , Evita and others since 1987 .

His radio play series Churchie Peter has been published by Kawohl-Verlag. Since May 2003 he has directed the theater im centrum in Kassel, which he founded . He has written and staged more than 25 musicals, which were played in Bremen, Lübeck and Hanau, among others.

Michael Fajgel is one of the board members and founding members of the Brothers Grimm Festival Kassel. Fajgel has lived in Kassel since 1987. He has three children.
