Michael Hoffmann (born February 5, 1961 in Zörbig ) is a German politician ( SPD , CDU ). From 1994 to 2002 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Education and life

Michael Hoffmann finished the Polytechnische Oberschule ( POS ) in 1977 after the 10th grade and in 1980 an apprenticeship as radio mechanic and worked in the learned profession. After reunification he worked as a managing director and became an administrative specialist in 1996 and business economist in 1998.

Michael Hoffmann is Catholic, married and has four children.

Michael Hoffmann became a member of the SDP in 1990 and later the SPD. From 1991 he worked as a member of the specialist committees for finances and local politics of the SPD regional association. Since 1990 he has been a member of the SGK eV and since 1997 deputy state chairman. From 1990 to 1994 he was a member of the Magdeburg city council. He was directly elected to the state parliament in the 2002 state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in constituency 13 ( Magdeburg IV state electoral district ). In the state parliament he was chairman of the temporary committee for functional and administrative reform / local government reform and a member of the committee for internal affairs.

Hoffmann has been a member of the CDU since 2002.

Michael Hoffmann has been chairman of the Association for the Promotion of Magdeburg Children's Homes since 1994, a founding member of the Sudenburg Interest Group, member of the Association for the Promotion of Citizens for Magdeburg, member of the German-American Association of State Parliaments - Partnership of Parliaments' and President of the 1st Magdeburg Tennis Club in the MSV 90.

Michael Hoffmann is the owner of two companies and today works as a management consultant.
