Michael Holzinger

Michael Holzinger , called Schwarzer Michel , (born September 20, 1920 in Comloșu Mic , German  Kleinkomlosch , Kingdom of Romania ; † April 7, 1996 in Augsburg ) was a German writer in the Banat dialect.

Holzinger came from a farming family. Later in his career he wrote one-act plays in Banat dialect, in which he drew plastic figures of village life that lead lively and humorous dialogues. In 1977 he received first prize in the Timiș County Dramaturgy Competition . His works were performed on many theaters in the Banat between 1972 and 1990, as well as at events in Germany for emigrated Banat Swabians .
