Michael Kadoorie

Michael David Kadoorie (* 1941 in Hong Kong ) is a Chinese entrepreneur and philanthropist . According to Forbes magazine, he is one of the five richest people from China , including Li Ka Shing , Lee Shau Kee and the three brothers of the Kwok family.

His father was the entrepreneur Lawrence Kadoorie, Baron Kadoorie (1899-1993) and his mother was Muriel Gubbay. Kadoorie attended the Le Rosey Institute in Switzerland . Kadoorie is married and has three children.

Kadoorie heads the Chinese CLP Group . He also controls The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels company .
