Michael Kenny

Michael Kenny RA (born June 10, 1941 in Liverpool , † December 28, 1999 in London ) is a British sculptor and draftsman who also creates reliefs .

life and work

Michael Kenny studied from 1959 to 1961 at Liverpool College of Art and from 1961 to 1964 with Reginald Cotterell Butler at the Slade School of Fine Art . He had a teaching position there from 1981 to 1982. From 1966 to 1968 Kenny taught at Goldsmiths, University of London . He became a member of the Royal Academy of Arts in 1986.

Michael Kenny works with wood, metal, limestone , horn clay and Portland stone .
