Michael Kohtes

Michael Kohtes (* 1959 at Gut Rosauel , Wahlscheid municipality ) is a German essayist, poet, journalist and literary critic. In his books he deals with civilizational and existential border crossings such as drug intoxication, boxing and gambling.

Michael Kohtes studied history and German in Bonn, Paris and Zurich. He completed a traineeship at WDR in Cologne , where he has since been editor and presenter on Kulturradio WDR 3 . In addition to books, he writes articles for literary magazines, anthologies, weekly and daily newspapers. Together with Adrian Winkler, he received the German Radio Prize in the "Best Interview" category in 2015 for one of the last interviews with Fritz J. Raddatz in the "Signs and Miracles" series.
