Michael Lindemann (* 1975 in Nordhorn ) is a German lawyer and professor.

Career

After studying law at the University of Bielefeld , he became a research assistant at the chair of Stephan Barton and at the Institute for Legal and Notary Law at the University of Bielefeld. In 2002 he began his legal clerkship at the regional court in Wuppertal and in the same year became a research assistant for Helmut Frister at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf .

In 2003 he completed his doctorate at Bielefeld University . In 2004 he became a research associate at the Institute for Legal Fact Research and Criminal Policy. In 2006 he became a research assistant at the Federal Constitutional Court in the department of Gertrude Lübbe-Wolff .

From 2008, Lindemann was again employed by Helmut Frister as a retired academic. Z. 2012 the habilitation and granting of the license to teach the subjects of criminal law, in particular commercial criminal law and medical criminal law, criminal procedure law, criminology and penal law by the law faculty of the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf . In the same year, Lindemann first took over the representation of the professorship for criminal law and criminal procedure law, commercial criminal law and international criminal law at the University of Augsburg , in order to then become holder of the professorship for criminal law and criminal procedural law, commercial criminal law and environmental criminal law.

Lindemann has held the chair for criminal law, criminal procedure law and criminology at Bielefeld University since April 2014 . He is also a lecturer in the medical law master’s course at the Institute for Legal Matters in Medicine at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf , member of the editorial board of the journal Recht & Psychiatrie , co-editor and member of the editorial staff of the journal for medical criminal law and member of the ethics working group of the German Society for Palliative medicine.
