Michael Mandlik

Michael Mandlik (* 1957 in Mainburg ) is a German journalist .

Life

He did his Abitur at the Camerloher-Gymnasium Freising and did his military service . He then worked as a freelancer for the Süddeutsche Zeitung , trained at the German School of Journalism in Munich and studied journalism at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

Then he began to work at Bayerischer Rundfunk , initially in news and domestic politics. In 1994 he became a correspondent and studio manager in the ARD studio in Rome. From 2005 to 2013 he held this post at the Vatican Studio. From 2008 to 2015 he was also editor-in-chief for the Church and World of Bayerischer Rundfunk.

Since January 2016 he has been the television correspondent and studio manager at the ARD Studio Vienna / Southern Europe.
