Michael Maria Ziffels

Michael Maria Ziffels (born February 15, 1967 in Viersen ) is a German composer , musician and sound researcher .

Life

Ziffels received his first musical training (piano and theory) from Gerhard Löffler (cantor and organist) and studied composition and music theory at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen with Nicolaus A. Huber from 1984 to 1989 . Since then he has lived and worked in Berlin . The Folkwang idea - the connection of all arts - is omnipresent in his works. His stylistic range includes new music , ambient , multimedia , chamber music and noise , but also film music . From 2005 he was a member of the German electro pop band Boytronic (album Dependence , 2006).
