Michael Merkenschlager
Michael Merkenschlager (born March 6, 1926 in Traunstein ; † February 10, 2012 in Gauting ) was a German veterinarian .
Life
Merkenschlager submitted his doctoral thesis in July 1952 to the veterinary faculty of the University of Munich . From 1967 he was professor and director of the Institute for Laboratory Animal Science and Diseases of Laboratory Animals at the Free University of Berlin , later holder of the chair for Physiology and Physiological Chemistry at the Institute for Physiology, Physiological Chemistry and Nutritional Physiology at the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Munich.
