Michael Prenner

Michael Prenner (* 14th century; † 14th or 15th century) was the richest citizen and mayor of Wiener Neustadt in his time .

Life

On July 15, 1377, Pernold the Klingenfurter and his wife sold fiefdoms in Schwarzenbach to “Michael den Prenner” , namely “16 Metzen oats on the Nagels überlent lehen near Swerczenpach” (Schwarzenbach on the Hungarian border), the Lanzenkirchen Fortress and everything that went with it - Forests, a meadow, the right to fish on the Leitha, the village court of Lanzenkirchen, ....

The Aichhof in Warth was first mentioned in a document in 1295 as the “Euchhof”. It belonged to the rulership of the Habsburg Duke Albrecht I , as a castle with simple fortification walls. In 1342 the brothers Jörg and Heinrich von Losenhaym (branch of the Losenheimer near Puchberg) are named as the owners of the castle, which also served as their residence. In 1378 Michael Prenner bought the property from his descendants for 440 pounds Viennese pfennings . At that time, this included forests, meadows, pastures, fields and gardens with significant rents from various owners for farms and farms, partly in cash, partly in kind. This noble seat with its simple fortifications was the center of a rule .

In the extensive document from 1378, the three " offices " of the small lordship are listed:

Michael Prenner appears as mayor of Wiener Neustadt from 1380 to 1382.

Perwald von Klingfurth, who was the bishop of Passau's clerk at Zeiselmauer , owned properties in and around Klingfurth , most of which he sold to Michael Prenner.
