Michael Roggendorf

Michael Roggendorf (born May 9, 1946 in Munich ) is a German doctor and researcher specializing in virology .

Career

From 1991 to 2013 he held the chair for virology and headed the institute for virology at the University of Duisburg-Essen . He is a founding member of the Society for Virology . From 1998 to 2014 he was head of the National Reference Center for Hepatitis C Virus and from 2009 to 2013 the spokesman for the Collaborative Research Center Transregio 60 with the universities in Wuhan and Shanghai . In 2014 he retired .
