Michael Schilling (journalist)

Michael Schilling is a German journalist and has been editor-in-chief of the Münchner Abendzeitung since 2014 .

Life

After an internship at the district newspaper Syke (1990 to 1992) he worked there as a reporter and editor until the end of 1994. Further jobs as a reporter and editor followed, in 1995 at the Münchner Abendzeitung , 1996 at Bild Hamburg , 1996 to 2001 at Sport Bild in Hamburg and Munich. In March 2001 he became deputy head of sports at the evening newspaper. He held this position until September 2010. Then he headed the AZ local editorial team. On July 1, 2014, he was the successor of Arno Makowsky as editor-in-chief of the paper to restart the newspaper after bankruptcy .
