Michael Schmid (sociologist)

Michael Schmid (born October 3, 1943 in Baden-Baden ) is a German sociologist .

Life

He obtained his Magister Artium in Heidelberg in 1969 and his doctorate in 1971 as Dr. phil. at the University of Heidelberg . After completing his habilitation in sociology in 1977 at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Augsburg , he taught as a C-2 professor for sociology in Augsburg from 1980 to 1995 and as a C-4 professor at the University of the Federal Armed Forces from 1995 to 2008 Munich .
