Michael Schuller (born June 4, 1993 in Neuhaus am Rennweg ) is a former German Nordic combined athlete .

Career

Michael Schuller grew up in Lauscha, Thuringia . Through his great cousin Danny Queck he came to the Nordic Combined in 2006 and to the winter sports club 1908 Lauscha . Here he was promoted by youth coach Jens Greiner-Hiero . On the recommendation of WSV 08 Lauscha, he learned and trained at the Oberhof sports school. He started successfully in the Alpine Cup and from 2010 in the Continental Cup , was German youth champion, Thuringian national champion 2012, winner of the DSV youth cup in youth class 17 and took part in three youth world championships, 2011 in Otepää (20th), 2012 in Erzurum (bronze in Individual and team competition) and 2013 in Liberec (team gold and individual 12th). He achieved C-squad status in the national team as a member of training group 1a. At the official DSV season opening in Schwäbisch Hall on October 28, 2011, Michael Schuller was named Newcomer of the Year 2011.

In the summer of 2014, he ended his active career and concentrated on his training in the federal police .
