Michael Schulz (Nursing Scientist)

Michael Patrick Schulz (* 1969 in Caen / France ) is a German nursing scientist and holder of the chair for psychiatric nursing at the Diakonie University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld .

Career

After training as a nurse , Michael Schulz began studying nursing at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences from 1995 to 1999 . From 1999 to 2001 he was at the Department of Health and Nursing Science of the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg as a doctoral scholarship from the Hans Böckler Foundation to Dr. rer. medic. PhD. The topic was result-oriented evaluation of outpatient (mobile) rehabilitation - a contribution to the development of nursing and rehabilitation methods and to quality-assuring decisions in the health care system . Since 2001 he has been in the nursing research department at the Psychiatry Clinicand psychotherapy in Bethel . Since February 2011 Michael Schulz has been the director of studies for the Psychiatric Nursing / Mental Health program at the Diakonie University of Applied Sciences. At the same time, Michael Schulz works as editor of the specialist journal “ Psychiatrische Pflege heute ” and is co-organizer of the three-country congresses for psychiatric care.
