Berlin health award
The Berlin Health Prize is a cultural prize for innovative concepts in health care , which the Berlin Medical Association and the AOK [Northeast -Die Gesundheitskasse] are promoting together with the AOK Federal Association. The total prize money amounts to 50,000 euros, which is divided among several prize winners. The competition, first announced in 1995, has been held every two years since then.
Structures
The deadline for applications is usually September 30th. The award ceremony will take place in the following year. The handover is carried out by a representative of the Federal Ministry of Health. An independent jury makes the selection.

- 1st prize: Helga Elisabeth Breimaier with Christa Lohrmann from the Institute for Nursing Science at the Medical University of Graz for the dissertation Implementation of a guideline for fall prevention for older patients.
