The Secantsgraben , in the upper course Schaugraben , is a drainage ditch in the Altmark . Most of its course lies in the area of the town of Bismark (Altmark) . It drains the area northeast of and around Badingen .

course

The Secantsgraben flows from its origin between Darnewitz and Steinfeld (Altmark) in a westerly direction. Behind the state road 27 it turns to the north, behind the state road 21 to the northeast. It flows into the Milde northwest of Poritz .

It is an approximately 27 km long river, the source of which is the Beesegraben, which rises at Beesewege . The Beesegraben enters the broad, formerly brittle valley near Kläden and is now called the Schau- or Secantsgraben up to the confluence with the Milde near Butterhorst .

Parts of the boundaries of several districts in the Stendal district are formed by the Secantsgraben, for example the northern boundary of Badingen or the southern boundary of Holzhausen and Berkau.
