Darnewitz is a district of the town of Bismark (Altmark) in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt . Until December 31, 2009 Darnewitz was a district of Kläden .

geography

Darnewitz is about three kilometers northeast of Kläden. The district has around 60 inhabitants.

history

In 1253 an Engelbertus de Dernewitz sacerdos was mentioned, then in 1370 the town of Dernewitz . The Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg from 1375 recorded the village of Dernewitz . This was called desolate in 1412/24 .

The Darnewitz Vorwerk was built on this area in 1752 . It belonged to the manor district of Kläden. With the dissolution of the manor district of Kläden on September 30, 1928, Darnewitz became a part of the municipality of Kläden.

Darnewitz does not have its own coat of arms. Instead, in 2001, when the association was founded, an association logo was designed by a woman from the village. It has now also established itself as the logo for the village and the boulder park, and it adorns the welcome stone at the village entrance and the village entrances.

Culture and sights

  • Gutskirche, built in 1832, is about 300 meters outside the village

The association Wir für Darnewitz e. V. takes care of the non-profit promotion of all initiatives, projects and measures in the village. He also looks after the boulder park.

traffic

Turning from the state road 15 towards Schinne , after two kilometers you will reach the junction to Darnewitz on the left. From here it is two more kilometers to the village. Regular buses and on-call buses run by Regionalverkehr Westsachsen (RVW) under the brand name stendalbus . The next train station is in the neighboring town of Kläden on the Stendal – Uelzen railway line .
