Klinke belongs to the village of Badingen and is a district of the town of Bismark (Altmark) in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany).

geography

The Altmark village of Klinke is 15 kilometers west of the district town of Stendal. The Bäke flows north of the town and flows into the Secantsgraben .

history

The place is first mentioned under the name Glink . In 1313 the parish was owned by the Johanniterkomturei Werben by the Margravine Anna. The Kloster Neuendorf acquired in 1400. Five courtyards "Dorpe tho the Klynke".

According to legend, a battle against the Wende should have taken place on the “war countries” nearby.

In the source collection Codex diplomaticus Brandenburgensis , no precise distinction is made between Klinke and desert Mark Klinkow , which lies between Grünenwulsch and Schinne.

Incorporations

The municipality of Klinke originally belonged to the Gardelegen district , from July 25, 1952 to the Stendal district . It lost its independence on October 1, 1973 when it became part of the Badingen community . Since Badingen was incorporated into the town of Bismark (Altmark) on January 1, 2010, the district of Klinke has been part of the newly formed town of Badingen and the town of Bismark (Altmark).

The Protestant Christians from Klinke belonged to the parish of Klinke since 1579. The parish jack is supplied by the parish Käthen since 1957 and now belongs to the parish area Lindstedt of the church district Salzwedel of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The village church Klinke is a late Romanesque field stone church . The Deetzer Warte is located southeast of the village .
