The Altmark Kirchdorf Wartenberg is located four kilometers southwest of the town Bismark (Altmark). To the east of the village lies the forest area "Grützland".

history

Wartenberg was first mentioned in 1335 as Wardenberg . In the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg from 1375 the place is listed as Wardenberghe .

Incorporations

On December 21, 1973, the municipality of Wartenberg was incorporated into the municipality of Berkau. Since January 1, 2010, the district of Wartenberg has been part of the newly formed village of Berkau and the town of Bismark (Altmark).
