Beese way is a village of 79 inhabitants (2007) near the Altmark town Bismark between Hohenwulsch and Klaeden . It is located in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt and the district of the unified community Bismark (Altmark). The village has so far only been connected to the road network via a cul-de-sac that ends in the village.

Not far from the town in a south-easterly direction there is a large stone grave , the stones of which were used in 1870 for the construction of the Bremen – Berlin railway line, the so-called American line . The grave complex was almost completely destroyed.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1273 as "Bysewede". The church was built from boulders around 1261/62 and received its first bell in 1572. In addition, the oldest known house from 1571 exists in this place at the so-called "Drillingshof". A stone plaque confirming this was worked into the front of the house in the house wall. On August 16, 1344, the owner of Beesewege, Nikolas von Bismarck, handed over the place to the cathedral chapter of Stendal in return for the permission to build a Latin school in Stendal.

On July 1, 1950, Beesewege was incorporated into Garlipp . On July 1, 1973, the Beesewege district was assigned to the Hohenwulsch community . With the incorporation of Hohenwulsch in Bismark (Altmark) on January 1, 2010, Beesewege finally became a district of Bismark (Altmark) .
