Kremkau is a district of the town of Bismark (Altmark) in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany).

geography

The Altmark village of Kremkau is located west of Stendal and north of Gardelegen . In the west of the district, the Secantsgraben forms the border with the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel , in the south with the Börde district . Kremkau itself is somewhat elevated, the terminal moraine arc that begins here continues eastwards to Stendal, 30 km away.

Until December 31, 2009, Kremkau was an independent municipality.

The municipal council of the municipality of Kremkau decided on June 11, 2009 to approve a territorial change agreement, which dissolved their municipality and became part of a new unified municipality called the city ​​of Bismark (Altmark) .
