Späningen is a district of the town of Bismark (Altmark) in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt , Germany and belongs to the village of Meßdorf in Bismark (Altmark) .

The Altmark village Späningen located nine kilometers north of the town Bismark (Altmark) in the valley of the piping .
history
In the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg from 1375 the place is listed as Spenyghe and was owned by the von Bartensleben family . The von Bismarck family later owned properties here.
The parish village belonged to the Vogtei Meßdorf and had 222 inhabitants in 1840, 405 in 1900.
On July 1, 1950, the communities of Biesenthal and Schönebeck were incorporated. The municipality of Späningen originally belonged to the district of Osterburg , from July 25, 1952 to the district of Kalbe (Milde) . It lost its independence on December 21, 1973 when it was incorporated into the municipality of Meßdorf. Since Meßdorf was incorporated into the town of Bismark (Altmark) on January 1, 2010, the Späningen district has been part of the newly formed village of Meßdorf and the town of Bismark (Altmark).
