Michael Senft

Michael Senft (born September 28, 1972 in Bad Kreuznach ) is a German canoeist .

The canoe slalom athlete of KSV Bad Kreuznach won bronze in the team competition at the world championship in 1995. At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , he and André Ehrenberg won bronze in the two-man canoe . For this medal win, he and Ehrenberg were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by the Federal President. At the 1997 World Championships, he won silver in a two-man competition and bronze with the team. At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, he won 8th place in the two-man Canadier.

In 2002 and 2003 Senft was a member of the team that won silver at the World Cup. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Senft and his partner Christian Bahmann came fourth in the two-man canoe. In 2005 both became world champions together.
