Michael Shine
Michael Shine ( Michael Lyle "Mike" Shine ; born September 19, 1953 in Warren , Pennsylvania ) is a former American hurdler who specialized in the 400-meter distance .
In 1976 he qualified in the US eliminations as third for the Olympic Games in Montreal . There he won the silver medal with his personal best of 48.69 seconds behind his compatriot Edwin Moses , who set a world record with 47.63 seconds, and ahead of Yevgeny Gavrilenko from the Soviet Union (49.45 seconds).
