The Teufelsgrundbach , also Teufelsbach, is a tributary of the Selke in the Lower Harz in Saxony-Anhalt . The valley through which this brook flows is the Devil's Ground.

The Teufelsgrundbach rises a little west of the headwaters of the Leine and the Schiebecksbach . In this case, the 242 national road in the urban area of Harzgerode the watershed represents. More water is from several art trenches and natural sources of Teufelsteich supplied, the dams up the Teufelsgrundbach and is fed by another source. The course of the stream is regulated by a triangular weir in the further course of the river . After about two thirds of the length of the stream, the Teufelsgrundbach is dammed up again, this time through the Fürstenteich . Then the brook winds for a few hundred meters through a meadow landscape with trees. The Teufelsgrundbach flows into the Selke on the right at Silberhütte . Until 1955, the then filled in Silberhütter stamping pond was dammed up shortly before .
The artificial trenches in the Teufelsgrund were almost completely preserved until the end of the 20s of the 20th century and can largely be traced to the Teufelsbach to this day.
Salamanders were found at the Teufelsgrundbach at the beginning of the 20th century .
