West Barns is a Scottish town in the East Lothian Council Area . It is located about two kilometers west of central Dunbar and 40 kilometers east of Edinburgh . In 2011, 583 people lived in West Barns.
West Barns is just north of the A1 which connects Newcastle to Edinburgh. The nearest train station is in Dunbar. Between 1798 and 1833, West Barns was the location of a whiskey distillery called West Barns . The distillery was converted into a brewery after its closure.
