Michael Sir (around 1906)

Michael Sir (born March 24, 1862 in Wernberg ; † July 15, 1937 there ) was an Upper Palatinate businessman and politician.

Career

He attended elementary school as well as commercial and advanced training school, learned the trade and then worked in his parents' business for colonial and manufactured goods in Wernberg, which he took over in 1884.

In 1887 he was appointed alderman in Wernberg and in 1893 he was appointed mayor. At the same time he became a district councilor. As a candidate for the Center Party in the constituency of Amberg, he entered the Chamber of Deputies of the Bavarian State Parliament in 1899 , of which he was a member until 1907. From June 1903 to November 1918 he was also a member of the German Reichstag .

He was a member of the board of the Wernberg Loan Association and a member of the district committee of the Upper Palatinate Association of Loan Associations.
