Michael Stusch

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Michael Stusch (born October 4, 1966 in Winsen an der Luhe ) is a German entrepreneur and internet pioneer . With ADTECH, the graduate engineer founded the first neutral ad serving service provider, built the first data center in Europe for ad serving and paved the way for modern online advertising. Later he began to research and develop modular and scalable energy storage solutions based on liquid organic hydrogen carriers ( LOHC ) and in 2010 he founded H 2 -Industries SE, another innovative high-tech company.

Life

Michael Stusch studied precision engineering at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and graduated with a degree in engineering. He completed a degree in industrial engineering in Darmstadt. His professional career began in the early 1990s with various engineering offices in the energy sector. In the mid-1990s, he built up the first Europe-wide online advertising marketer 1 & 1 AdLINK . In 1997 he developed the concept for a neutral ad serving service provider and in 1998 founded ADTECH GmbH in Frankfurt, which operated the first ad serving data center. The company brought together buyers and providers of advertising on the Internet, ensured that the advertising material was delivered quickly and enabled the target groups to be addressed more precisely. ADTECH became the technology leader in this segment and made modern online advertising possible. In 2007 he sold the company to AOL , a subsidiary of Time Warner Inc.

Since 2007, Stusch has been researching and developing modular and scalable energy storage solutions based on liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHC) and has applied for several patents for the process. In 2010 he founded what is now H 2 -Industries SE, an international energy company based in Germany that develops and sells cost-effective and safe energy storage solutions based on LOHC on an industrial scale. The LOHC technology is, according to the company, more important in the energy transition to since her Renewables can be made baseload. Since 2014, H 2 -Industries SE and the Rostock Leibniz Institute for Catalysis have been cooperating in catalysis research to develop high-performance and cost-effective catalysts. The director of the institute, Prof. Matthias Beller , sits on the advisory board of H 2 -Industries.
