Carl Stöger junior
Carl Stöger junior , also Karl Stöger, (born May 4, 1870 in Vienna ; † November 8, 1949 there ) was an Austrian builder and architect.
Live and act
Carl Stöger junior was the son of Carl Stöger senior , who was also a master builder, and the brother of Adolf Stöger , also an architect. He graduated from the state trade school and then studied architecture with Carl von Hasenauer .
As early as 1895 he was a member of the "Siebener Club", to which Joseph Maria Olbrich , Koloman Moser and Josef Hoffmann also belonged. After the death of their father in 1906, the brothers took over the business under the name "Carl & Adolf Stöger". They mainly built villas for high demand. The design of the buildings was based on Josef Hoffmann. In 1942 the brother committed suicide. Carl Stöger died childless and impoverished at the age of 79.
