Michael N. Szentei-Heise , actually Mihály Nándor Szentei (born October 27, 1954 in Debrecen , Hungary ) is a Hungarian-German lawyer and has been the administrative director of the Jewish community in Düsseldorf since December 1, 1986 .

Michael Szentei-Heise is the son of Auschwitz survivor Edith Szentei and comes from Hungary. At the age of eleven he came to Germany with his mother.

He gained greater prominence, among other things, in the context of disputes over the train of memory and anti-Semitism allegations against the British rock musician Roger Waters . He also initiated the first motto car for a Jewish community on a Rose Monday procession (Rose Monday, February 12, 2018) in Düsseldorf with the motto "Heinrich Heine, we're celebrating the most famous Jewish son in our city".

Because of a statement by Szentei-Heise in connection with the train of remembrance , the then head of Deutsche Bahn , Hartmut Mehdorn , filed a criminal complaint for defamation and insult. The proceedings were discontinued by the Düsseldorf public prosecutor's office.
