The Michaelskirche is an Evangelical Lutheran church building in Ottobrunn , Ganghoferstraße 26.

history

Michaelskirche was built according to the plans of the architect Theo Steinhauser and inaugurated in March 1964.

The floor plan of the simple building has the shape of an irregular pentagon. Inside, two corridors lead to the altar. On the two opposite sides there are two large galleries, of which the organ is housed on the higher one. Both galleries are connected by a cantilevered concrete walkway with stairs. To the left of the altar there is a small counter gallery that can only be reached via an outside staircase.

Furnishing

The dominant element in the interior is the brass cross created by Eva Moshack above the altar. Friedrich Koller created the profile signs symbolizing the twelve apostles on the concrete frieze, as well as the lectern and the antependums on the altar and the pulpit.

If necessary, the opposite gallery offers space for an additional choir.

Since 2008 there has been a prayer and children's corner.
