Mikhail Grigoryevich Gribanov
Michail Grigorjewitsch Gribanow ( Russian Михаил Григорьевич Грибанов , scientific transliteration Mikhail Gribanov ; * 1906 ; † 1987 ) was a Soviet politician.
From 1947 to 1949 he was deputy political advisor to the head of the SMAD . During the preparation period for the first Stalin Note (1951), Gribanov was head of the Third Department of the Soviet Foreign Ministry responsible for the German-speaking countries, of which he was first deputy and then head from 1949 to 1953.
The Essen historian Wilfried Loth , among others, used quotations from Gribanow . With their help he tried to substantiate his thesis of the seriousness of the Soviet offers for the reunification of Germany in 1952 . According to Loth, Gribanov initiated the "Stalin Note" peace treaty project.
From 1956 to 1962 Gribanow was the Soviet Union's ambassador to Norway .
