Mikhailov Canyon

The Michailow Canyon is a deep-sea trench in the Davissee off the Leopold and Astrid coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land .
It is named after Pawel Nikolajewitsch Michailow (1786–1840), Russian painter and draftsman and participant in the first Russian Antarctic expedition (1819–1821) under the direction of Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen .
