Michel Dumoulin

Michel Dumoulin (born October 2, 1950 in Uccle ) is a Belgian historian and professor at the French-speaking Catholic University of Louvain .

Dumoulin received his doctorate in Leuven in 1981 and taught there as a professor of contemporary history . He was particularly interested in Belgian imperialism in the Congo and European integration . He headed the Institut d'études européennes (1994–2004), the directorate of the Belgian Institut historique in Rome (2001–2009) and the Center d'étude d'histoire de l'Europe contemporaine in Louvain (CEHEC 1987 to 2012). From 2008 he was a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the House of European History .
