Michel Ledoux (* 1958 ) is a French mathematician who studies probability theory. He is a professor at the University of Toulouse .

Ledoux received his doctorate in 1985 from the University of Strasbourg ( Propriétés limites des variables aléatoires vectorielles )

Among other things, he dealt with isoperimetric inequalities in analysis and probability theory.

In 2010 he received the Prix Servant . In 2014 he was invited speaker at the ICM in Seoul (Heat flows, geometric and functional inequalities). In 2019 Ledoux was elected to the Academia Europaea .
