The crime film series started with the erotic thriller Callboys , which was first broadcast in May 1999 - every desire has its price , which was originally intended as a single film. The film had a market share of 21% when it was first broadcast . Due to the high audience participation, a crime series was created under the direction of producers Karl Eberhard Schäfer and Norbert Walter , which was discontinued after the third film, which was first broadcast in April 2003.
