Silvia Kaffke

Silvia Kaffke (born June 6, 1962 in Duisburg ) is a German writer . Kaffke is best known for her crime novels .

Life

Silvia Kaffke studied journalism and German in Bochum . She worked as a research assistant at filmforum Duisburg , as a copywriter, editor and secretary. She was also active as a PR manager and organized crime nights in this context.

In 2000 Silvia Kaffke debuted with her mystery novel Stab , which focuses on the BKA - profiler Barbara Pross is. With Herzensgut (2002), Totenstill (2005) and Blutleer (2006), further crime novels with the protagonist Barbara Pross followed.

In 2008 the historical novel The Red Light of the Moon was published, with which Kaffke takes the reader to the middle of the 19th century. In 2010 the sequel The Dark Web of Lies was released . Both novels are set in Duisburg - Ruhrort , where the author also lives.

Messerscharf , her first crime novel about the BKA profiler Barbara Pross, was filmed in 2001 for Sat.1 with Ann-Kathrin Kramer in the leading role.
