Midu

Midu ( 弥渡 县 , Mídù Xiàn ) is a district in the southeast of the Dali der Bai Autonomous District in the west of the Chinese province of Yunnan . It has an area of ​​1,571 km² and a population of 310,000. Its main place is the large community Micheng (弥 Groß).

The iron column from the state of Nanzhao (Nanzhao tiezhu 南诏 铁柱) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (3-180) since 1988 .
