Migration and Social Work is a German specialist journal. It appears three times a year with two single issues in February and June and a double issue in October by Juventa Verlag . The magazine is run by the Institute for Social Work and Social Pedagogy e. V. published (ISS-Frankfurt a. M.) for more than three decades. From 1979 to 1995 it was called the “Information Service for Foreign Workers (IZA)”.

The magazine is a platform for the exchange and transfer of knowledge on migration issues between specialists of different origins and professions. It regularly contains articles on immigration , integration and asylum policy , intercultural child, youth and educational work and migration- specific topics, such as intercultural opening of regular social services, psychosocial care for migrants, life situation and specific problems of older migrants, racism and anti-racist strategies. Each issue appears on a specific topic and also contains free current information, project reports and a bibliography on migration-related topics and reviews of new publications.
