Miguel Herrera y Obes Martínez was a Uruguayan politician .

Herrera y Obes, son of Miguel Herrera y Obes and Consolación Martínez, is the brother of the future President of Uruguay, Julio Herrera y Obes . He married Cecilia Thode on July 19, 1873. He sat in the 16th and 17th legislative periods from February 15, 1891 to March 30, 1894 as a member of the Department of Montevideo in the Cámara de Representantes . From 1891 to 1894 he was President of the Chamber. He was then Minister of the Interior of Uruguay under Juan Idiarte Borda .
