Mihajlo Petrović (pilot)
Mihajlo Petrović (born June 14, 1884 in Vlakca , Serbia , † March 7, 1913 in Barbalusi , Albania ) was a Serbian pilot . He was the first Serbian pilot.
In 1897 he went to the military school in Kragujevac . In 1903 he became a non-commissioned officer in the artillery. In 1912 he registered for training as a pilot, which he completed in France. He received the first Serbian pilot license with the number 1 on July 23, 1912.
During a training flight on March 7, 1913, Petrović's machine was so shaken by updrafts over Barbalusi that he was thrown out of the cockpit without a parachute at an altitude of 1000 meters and died.
