Mika Beuster
Mika Beuster (born November 23, 1978 in Gießen ) is a German journalist . He has been a member of the federal board of the German Association of Journalists (DJV) since 2019 .
Life
From 2005 to 2007, Beuster completed a daily newspaper editorial traineeship at the Lahn-Dill newspaper group ( Wetzlarer Neue Zeitung ) with training positions at Bild Frankfurt and Hit Radio FFH , among others . He then worked as a business and news editor in the editorial department of the Lahn-Dill newspaper group. In September 2017 he became editor-in-chief of the Weilburger Tageblatt and since April 2019 he has been the reporter boss of the Weilburger Tageblatt and Usinger Anzeiger .
He has been a member of the board of the DJV district association Lahn-Dill since 2011, and its chairman since 2017. In 2017 Beuster became an assessor in the DJV state board of Hesse. In November 2019 he was elected to the executive board of the DJV in Berlin .
Prices
- In 2008 he won first prize in the journalist competition of the Academy for Spatial Research and Regional Planning (ARL).
- In 2007 he took second place for the Lahn-Dill newspaper group, the “Youth Turntable Prize” from the Federal Agency for Civic Education .
- In 2013, his series "Our daily water", designed with Klaus Andrießen, was included in the volume "Excellent - Recipes for Editors" (2013, Volume 9) of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation as an example of outstanding environmental reporting .
