Mike Ashley (born September 9, 1964 in Burnham , Buckinghamshire ) is a British manager .

Life

Ashley attended Burnham Grammar School . He founded the British company Sports Direct . He acquired the British football club Newcastle United in 2007 and is its president. Ashley divorced his wife, Linda Ashley, who he married in 1988 in 2003. The couple has three children.

Mike Ashley is a billionaire. According to the US business magazine Forbes , he has a fortune of around 3.6 billion US dollars (as of 2015). This makes Mike Ashley 318th on Forbes' 2015 list of the richest people in the world.
