Mike Brown (born August 10, 1935 in Massillon , Ohio ) is an American entrepreneur and owner of the NFL team Cincinnati Bengals .

Life

Brown was born in Massillon, Ohio in 1935. He attended Dartmouth College in 1957 and Harvard Law School two years later . He played American football as a quarterback at both schools .

His father Paul Brown founded the Cincinnati Bengals in 1968. Mike Brown worked for the team as a press officer at the beginning . In 1991 his father died and Mike Brown became the owner of the team. That year he also hired Dave Shula as the new head coach . At the time, he was the second youngest head coach in the history of the NFL.
