Mike Gommeringer

Mike "Gomezz" Gommeringer (born September 26, 1973 ) is a German drummer and a former member of the German band Reamonn .

Life

He grew up in Eigeltingen near Stockach on Lake Constance . His father took him to music and sent him to drum lessons. At 15 he was in a band, which broke up a short time later. In 1996 he played for the band Kindtot and became their drummer. He had to leave Kindtot again because of health problems . In November 1998 he responded to an ad from Rea Garvey and the foundation stone for the band Reamonn was laid.

Mike Gommeringer mixes different stick positions and techniques and thus creates his own style on the drums. His trademark are the ear plugs that he always wears when playing to put a stop to tinnitus .

He owns a large vinyl and CD collection. It contains over 10,000 plates.

Projects

Mike Gommeringer released the CD Gomezz presents: Funky Drumming in July 2005 .

Since the end of 2010 he has been part of the new band " Stereolove ", which the Reamonn band founded with the singer Thomas Hanreich .
