The drums & percussion magazine is the oldest German specialist magazine on drums and percussion .

The magazine has been published every two months since 1982. The drummer Manni von Bohr acted as editor-in-chief from 1988 to the end of 2015 . Cord Radke has been editor-in-chief of the magazine since January 1, 2016. The topics of the issue are practical reports, tests, interviews, workshops by and with well-known German and international drummers ( Michael Küttner , Claus Hessler, Jost Nickel, Anika Nilles, Andy Gillmann, Florian Alexandru-Zorn , José Cortijo, Conny Sommer, Claudio Spieler, Altfrid M. Sicking , Phil Maturano, Dudu Tucci, Oli Rubow, Dirk Brandt and others), CD / DVD / book reviews as well as trade fair and event reports. From 2005 to 2015, every issue was accompanied by a CD with play-alongs, workshops and exercises; Since 2015, the CD has been replaced by download audio files that can be accessed by the magazine buyer or subscriber using a code. The magazine appears in the Reiner H. Nitschke Verlags-GmbH in Euskirchen and digitally in the form of an e-paper.
