Thomas Hanreich (born April 25, 1972 in Salzgitter-Bad , Lower Saxony ) is a German pop singer , guitarist and songwriter . He was the singer of the band Vivid and since 2003 also as a solo artist under the pseudonym thom. on road.

Life

On March 27, 2003, Thomas Hanreich married the presenter Miriam Pielhau (1975-2016) in Las Vegas , with whom he has also had a daughter since May 2012. On June 23, 2013, it was announced that the couple had split up.

In 1991 he founded the rock band Vivid with three friends. The song Principle of Joy contained on the 2004 album Istory was used by BMW as theme music for the major advertising campaign of the 1 series - he still writes music for commercials today. He worked for Ferrero , MAN , E.ON and AMEX, among others .

As a result, Hanreich turned more and more to film music. He wrote the soundtrack for Wim Wenders ' film Land of Plenty . He has since worked on several short films and commercials with Wim Wenders. Charity projects

Since 2005 he has been working with the HOME project initiated by Niels Stolberg for Thai children who have been homeless since the tsunami disaster ( 2004 seaquake in the Indian Ocean ). On site he performed together with Kai Wingenfelder (singer from Fury in the Slaughterhouse ), Astrid North (singer from Cultured Pearls ), Maya Saban (singer), Stephan Eggert (drummer from Selig ), Henning Rümenapp (guitarist from Guano Apes ), Stephan Gade (bassist from The Land ), Gunter Papperitz (keyboardist from Soulounge ) a CD / DVD to support two “School for Life” projects.
